The community centre appeal

A permanent home for our community

Today, our community gathers in hired rooms. Our goal is a dedicated, permanent base in Leominster — open for prayer, learning, family support and friendship across the whole town.

An AI-assisted illustrative concept of what a future centre could feel like — modest, local and welcoming. This is not an existing or planned building; real designs will come much later, with the community's input.

Why a permanent base matters

One of our key goals is to establish a permanent base or community centre in Leominster. A dedicated centre would give us a stable and accessible place to hold prayers, deliver activities, welcome visitors, support families, and build stronger links with local organisations.

This would allow us to expand our work in a planned and sustainable way, providing a focused space for worship, learning, community support, interfaith engagement and social connection.

Why your support matters

We are raising funds to help establish and sustain prayer facilities, community services and interfaith initiatives in Leominster. Your support will help us meet local needs, strengthen community life and create opportunities for people to come together in a spirit of respect and cooperation.

Donations and funding support will contribute towards essential costs such as venue hire, future premises, community activities, educational programmes, outreach work and the development of services for local residents.

If the community centre project does not proceed, or funds raised exceed what the project needs, donations will be applied to the association’s general charitable purposes in Leominster.

Our fundraising principles

We are committed to fundraising in a way that is ethical, transparent and accountable. Our approach is guided by Islamic values, community benefit and responsible stewardship of the funds entrusted to us.

  1. Responsible use

We will use funds responsibly and for the purposes for which they are given.

  2. Keeping you informed

We will seek to keep donors and supporters informed about progress.

  3. Sustainable income

We will avoid reliance on a single source of income by developing a range of sustainable funding streams.

  4. Building trust

We will work to build trust with the Muslim community, the wider community and local partners.
